Football Kits with Food Sponsors! 🍔

Feeling hungry? Here's a bunch of English clubs that had iconic food companies as their kit sponsor!

Fulham (Pizza Hut) - 2001/02 Season | 01/02 Home - Fulham only had the ‘Pizza Hut’ sponsor for one season, which was their first in the Premier League. They ended up finishing 13th under French manager Jean Tigana. Louis Saha was joint top scorer in the league for Fulham with 8 goals.

Leicester City (Walkers) - 87/01 | Home 96/98 // Away 99/01 - One of the most iconic shirt sponsors in English football history. Leicester were sponsored by ‘Walkers’ for 14 years. The Foxes won the 96/97 Coca-Cola Cup in a ‘Walkers’ Shirt beating Boro 1-0 after extra time in a replay of the final 10 days after drawing the first final 1-1. Steve Claridge scored the winner in the 100th minute.

Wolves (Doritos) - 02/04 | Away 03/04 - Wolves were sponsored by ‘Doritos’ for two seasons over 02/03 & 03/04. Wolves wore the shirt for their first season in the Premier League after winning promotion via the play-offs. Wolves were relegated but did claim a famous 1-0 victory over Man Utd thanks to a Kenny Miller goal

Aston Villa (Müller) - 93/95 - Villa were sponsored by the German company ‘Müller’ over two seasons. They won the 1994 Coca-Cola Cup beating Premier League Champions Man Utd 3-1 at Wembley. It was also the shirt they famously beat the United side containing the Class of ‘92 at the start of the 94/95 season.

Grimsby Town (Youngs) - 04/21 - One of the longest running sponsorships in British football running from 2004-2021, ‘Youngs’ isn’t the only food sponsor to grace Grimsby Town's shirt having had ‘Findus’ During the 70’s & 80’s. The League Two side will always be known for the classic ‘Young’s’ sponsor though.

Stevenage (Burger King) - 19/21 - One of the most unlikely sponsorships was Stevenage & ‘Burger King’ during 2019/21. It led to Stevenage being the most used team by Twitch users playing ‘Fifa 20’ & all of the club's shirts being sold out. Burger King even gave out free food for completing challenges in the game.

Sheff. Weds (Chupa Chups) - 00/03 - One of the sweetest sponsorship deals we have seen is that between Sheffield Wednesday and confectionary company Chupa Chups. Their partnership ran between 2000-2003 when the Owls were fighting out in the old Division 1.

Norwich City (Colmans) - 97/01 - Another food sponsor we thought was absolutely ‘mustard’ was when Norwich City were sponsored by ‘Colmans’ from 1997 to 2001. In 2017 Canaries fans started a campaign to keep Colmans in the area with the hashtag #SaveColmans and posting pictures in their retro shirts.

Wythenshawe Amatuers (Gatley Tandoori) - 20/22 - Next up we have Wythenshawe Amateurs who were sponsored by famous local family business ‘Gately Tandoori’ between 2020/22. This is one we feel needs a big Dhal made of it.

AFC Bedale (Heck) - 15/Present - The most out there sponsorships we have seen is that of AFC Bedale and Heck. The food manufacturer has provided the North Yorkshire club with some of the most unique kits in football.
