Under the management of Jim Magilton, Ipswich Town finished the 2008/09 Championship season in 9th place. The team had a decent campaign, but they missed out on the playoffs to secure promotion to the Premier League. The 2009/10 season saw a managerial change, with Roy Keane taking over as manager of Ipswich Town. However, the team's fortunes did not improve significantly, and they finished the Championship season in 15th place.
