10 International Anniversary Kits
Scotland wore their Anniversary shirt during their 150th Heritage Match versus England last night, so that got us thinking about some of the best International anniversary kits we have seen released.
Scotland 150th - Celebrating 150 years of the Scottish F.A. Adidas released this classy home shirt for Scotland. The simplified design features a special anniversary crest with only the lion coloured in gold. The round-neck collar & white & blue cuffs really give it a retro feel.

Italy 125th - The Italy anniversary shirt was a limited release earlier this year with only 2,023 available. Celebrating the birth of the Federazione Italiana Guioco Calcio, then called the Federazione Italiana Football, the white shirt with gold accents features a special crest.

USA 100th - Back in 2013 the United States National Team released an anniversary kit celebrating 100 years of football in the country. The white shirt which featured a stand-out crest made up of 13 stars & stripes was to pay homage to the 1913 kit & also the first American flag.

Denmark x Hummel 100th - This re-release of the Denmark 1986 home shirt was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Hummel. Subtle differences were added to the remake including black trim instead of blue, text only Hummel logo and a slight change to the collar. Very classy still.

Uruguay 89th -Â For the 2013 Confederations Cup, Uruguay released a retro-inspired shirt to celebrate the 89th Anniversary of the country winning gold during the 1924 Summer Olympics in France. They wore the shirt in their opening game of the tournament which was against France.

France 100th - The French Football Federation teamed up with Nike in 2019 to celebrate their 100th anniversary with this stunning home shirt. The vibrate blue base featured a blued-out Nike swoosh & a stunning FFF crest in gold. 10,000 were released in both replica and authentic.

England 150th - Another Nike team-up was with England in 2013 celebrating 150 years of the English F.A. The home shirt featured a special crest that signified the anniversary in gold text, with the World Cup winning star in gold also. The shirt was finished off with navy accents.

Japan 100th - Taking inspiration from the first Japanese National Team shirt back in 1930, as well as the 1936 Olympics, the 100th-year anniversary shirt released by the JFA back in 2021 is a winner. The light blue base and Japanese flag as the crest are a stunning combination.

Ireland 100th - As part of the FAI centenary celebrations in 2021, Ireland and Umbro released a limited edition shirt. They went back to their original colours of “St Patrick’s Blue” and white, as well as adding a retro-inspired crest featuring a shamrock surrounded by a shield.

Brazil 100th - Before adopting their famous yellow shirts, Brazil used to wear white. For the 2019 Copa America, the CBF and Nike released a white anniversary shirt to celebrate 100 years since the Seleçao’s first Copa America win. They would also win the tournament in 2019.
