Valencia - Celebrating their 100th year in 2019, Valencia released their Puma home shirt with a special black and gold crest. Gold embroidered text saying “centenary” and the years 1919/2019 would also feature around the badge.
Celtic - Back in the great days of kits lasting two seasons, it meant Celtic’s centenary crest stuck around between 1987-1989. The crest features the Celtic cross with the four-leaf clover moving down. The club were founded in 1887 but didn’t play their first competitive game until 1888.
Parma - Parma reworked their usual crest to feature a blue ‘100’ at the top of the badge to celebrate their 100th birthday. This would feature on all three kits that season. The club also released a special Anniversary home shirt as well.
York City - One of the most talked about shirts, and crests, of the 22/23 was that of York City. The redesigned crest took inspiration from the one used by the club between 1978 to 2002. The crest features two lions facing Bootham Bar, a historical gateway in the City.
Atletico Mineiro - In 2008, Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro used their original crest, harking back to their foundations, to celebrate the Belo Horizonte side's centenary.
Persis Solo - Indonesian side Persis Solo celebrate their 100th year on 8th November 2023. To celebrate the club has added a gold circle around its crest with the word “The Glorious Century”. Their away shirt is a black and red version.
Olympique Marseille - In 1999 Olympique Marseille celebrated 100 years by adding a golden border to their world-famous crest. All three of their shirts for the 98/99 season featured the stunning new design.
Club America - Back in 2016, Club America reached their centenary year and used a more simplified version of its crest that added 1916-2016.
BVB - One of the most striking and clever centenary badges belongs to Borussia Dortmund. Simply adding their usual badge to one of the 0’s in ‘100’, you can’t help but love it. The crest was used on a special anniversary shirt for the 2009/10 season.
Lazio - We saved the best till last, right? Celebrating their century in January 2000, Lazio released a special white anniversary home shirt which featured their crest being accompanied by golden ‘100’. Lazio would go on to win a league and cup double that season.
